Comedy Night feat. Comrade Tripp, Alicia Kismet & Andy Duong - March 26, 2026 - $10 Cover

  • Pajarito Edina 3910 West 50th Street Edina, MN, 55424 United States (map)

Comrade Tripp is one of the saddest standup comedians in Minnesota, and he wants you to know it. Born and raised in Saint Cloud, Minnesota; a city as large as it is small. Comrade successfully escaped to Minneapolis which is marginally better, he has also found another home here on the internet, which is several margins better. His brand of dark humor fits well in the ecosystems of the algorithms. Despite his despondent disposition, he’s a child at heart; insomuch that he cannot be trusted to take care of himself and has no self esteem whatsoever. The rest of his body is very old. Comrade has been featured in the Star Tribune, and was named Growler Magazine’s Comics To Watch 2020. He is a co-producer of the award winning Uproar Performing Arts collective and has been a featured performer of the 10K Laughs Festival and the Fargo Comedy Festival. He was also the runner up in House of Comedy’s Funniest Person with a Day Job Contest & Sisyphus Brewing’s Funniest Person in Minneapolis Contest, twice, he has never won anything in his life.

Alicia Eler (they/she) is a writer, arts journalist and culture critic. She is the author of The Selfie Generation: How Our Self-Images are Changing Our Notions of Privacy, Property, Sex, Consent and Culture. Chicago Tribune called the book “fascinating, provocative, entertaining and enlightening,” and the New York Times noted that “Eler’s book alights on the source of the selfie’s power . . . Perhaps our much-fussed-over narcissism is not a flaw but a survival tactic.” The Washington Post and New York Magazine named Alicia “the selfie expert.” Alicia is an early digital adopter, and was one of the first writers to write extensively about the selfie in a pre-Snapchat, pre-TikTok era. The book received international praise from the BBC to the Sydney Morning Herald. Alicia also does standup comedy under the name Alicia Kismet. The Sahan Journal named one of 5 diverse comedians to watch, and Minnesota Comedy wrote a feature story about Alicia’s journey as a queer, non-binary, Turkish comedian. Alicia also hosts and co-produces a unique art-comedy show called Laugh & Draw, where artists figure draw live standup comedians as they tell jokes and hold poses. Minnesota Comedy wrote about that, too!

Andy Duong is a Minneapolis based comic and is a paid regular at Acme Comedy Company. He was the winner of the “Funniest Person in the Twin Cities” contest and was named as a “Twin Cities Comic to Watch” by Racket Minnesota. He has opened for names such as Joe List, Chad Daniels, Beth Stelling, Ian Bagg, Aaron Chen, plus others. Andy has been performing standup in the Twin Cities since 2021 and has performed at venues all around Minnesota as well as other parts of the Midwest and West Coast.

Comedy Night is $10 per guest, added to your bill. All are welcome!
